The Well Worn Door

God is going to get our attention, one way or another.
I started reading the psalms this morning, just normal routine. Expecting God to meet me.
There's been a lot on my mind.
Had a MRI last week. Tumor in uterus. Grew from a grape to a plum. All contained but growing.
I thought I was done with this cancer stuff. I can just dust off my hands and say all is done. But I’m not all done. God did not take me out of this yet… so, here we are.

Got up this morning to do what I do. Expecting God to meet me. As I sat with my coffee all ready. I just couldn’t engage. Couldn’t read.
Maybe spinning a little. God broke through. He wanted to tell me something this morning as I’ve been praying and asking him for his leading, (been asking for months) so I trust he’s gonna speak to me.
He puts this song on my heart over and over until I finally broke through with a smile and said to God, ok, ok. You got this.

That’s what God wanted…to get a smile on my face in the midst of it all.
Now I could read.
Reading psalm 65 and this just jumped out at me.
“Come and see what our God has done! What awesome miracles He performs for his People”
miracles for his people. God always reminds me that He is the God of Impossibilities (miracles)

He’s there. This door represents a well worn service. True and tried. He is not a start up, he’s been at it for some time. Generations. His name is called, Ancient of Days. (A long time)
Turn the knob, walk in, meet Him. Let Him tell you about all his expertise. Let Him tell you how this is not new for him. He specializes in miracles. That door is well worn because He is faithful. Many have gone before us. In fact God says in the book of Hebrews, that we have a great cloud of witnesses cheering us on.
“What awesome miracles he performs for his people!”
These miracles are not for kangaroos or elephants or giraffes or dogs or cats but for people, his people.
God cares about all the animals and the earth. He provides, food, shelter, and provisions.
What does he do for us?…miracles!
Psalm 65:5-13 NIRV (see how he cares in this passage)
“God our Savior, you answer us with right and wonderful deeds. People all over the world and beyond the farthest oceans put their hope in you. You formed the mountains by your power. You showed how strong you are. You calmed the oceans and their roaring waves. You calmed the angry words and actions of the nations. Everyone on earth is amazed at the wonderful things you have done. What you do makes people from one end of the earth to the other sing for joy. You take care of the land and water it. You make it able to grow many crops. You fill your streams with water. You do that to provide the people with grain. That’s what you have decided to do for the land. You water its rows. You smooth out its bumps. You soften it with showers. And you bless its crops. You bring the year to a close with huge crops. You provide more than enough food. The grass grows thick even in the desert. The hills are dressed with gladness. The meadows are covered with flocks and herds. The valleys are dressed with grain. They sing and shout for joy.”
All creation acknowledges God, he takes care of his creation.
But for me. I get to live a life where I see God do miracles for His people.
Will you put your hand on the knob, turn it, and go in, he’s there for you. He’s there. Let him show you his expertise. Let him tell you story after story of his faithfulness. Let him show you his character, so that you can trust him and live out of that reality.

Love, Mary
Hallelujah!!
